About Us
WELCOME
To the Grant County Fire District 5 new website. I am proud to be the Fire Chief for so many wonderful, professional and dedicated people.
District 5 Career
Staff work very hard to support and maintain the vast fleet of Fire/Rescue
apparatus that allow our Volunteers to protect the 565 square mile District,
and we are very fortunate to have all of the professional Volunteers who are
the backbone for District 5.
I would like
to take the opportunity to thank all of the Staff, Career and Volunteers that
work so hard day and night to keep our Customers who live in and visit Grant
County Fire District 5 protected.

In
partnership with the communities within District 5, strive to create a safe
fire district by providing the best possible training and services in fire, EMS
and rescue to our customers, through the efforts of dedicated personnel.
a. With resources provided and with a strong Training Program, District 5
will strive to achieve the fastest possible response time and be proactive to
all incidents by limiting fire, rescue and/or hazardous conditions. Personnel shall be trained in the most
up-to-date techniques in the use of equipment to combat fires, rescue and
hazardous situations.
b. District 5 will be proactive in using fire prevention, school education
programs, pre-planning and inspection programs to attempt to reduce fires and
hazardous conditions while focusing on our Customers in the District.
c. The District shall move in an aggressive direction to establish a
District 5 Technical Rescue Team (TRT) within 18 months to provide a new level
of rescue response, written policies and standards into our industry
sites. The Training Tower will be
reintroduced into District 5 Training Program with a higher priority toward
training. District 5 Training Program
will better develop our “FIREMANSHIP and RESCUE” skills.
